Hi! I’m Gabriela, a self-taught Nicaraguan-Salvadoran illustrator based in San Francisco’s Mission District. Under the name Smug Morenita, I create work inspired by the people and everyday moments around me—driven by my love for visual storytelling.
I collaborate with organizations, small businesses, and brands to create meaningful work rooted in people and place.
Smug Morenita is also my space to explore what it means to be a multidisciplinary Latina in today’s digital world—on my own terms.
