Designs were created for social media and included in an advocacy toolkit urging California state leaders to protect communities from the dangers of neighborhood drilling. The toolkit was shared with key celebrities and influencers to rally support for Governor Newsom's proposed rule establishing significant buffer zones between people and new oil drilling sites.
One of NRDC’s trustees, Leonardo DiCaprio, reposted the artwork on his Instagram to help amplify the public comment period around CA oil and gas setbacks. This was a huge win for NRDC and their coalition work, and emphasized the importance of compelling artwork that resonates with diverse communities.
