Designs were made for socials and were included in an advocacy toolkit calling on CA state leaders to protect communities from dangerous neighborhood drilling. The social toolkit was shared with key celebrities and influencers calling on CA state leaders to support the proposed rule from Gov. Newsom to create significant buffer zones between people and new oil drilling.
One of NRDC’s trustees, Leonardo DiCaprio, reposted the artwork on his Instagram to help amplify the public comment period around CA oil and gas setbacks. This was a huge win for NRDC and their coalition work, and emphasized the importance of compelling artwork that resonates with diverse communities.
